One Thing Leads to Another - New Ricoh Part Numbers (AGAIN!)

Ricoh is coming out with new part numbers again - gez. How many sets of part numbers can they dream up?  Ricoh has decided to have one part number for their Tri-Brand toner cartridges. Yep, one Ricoh number for a Ricoh machine, the same Ricoh number for a Savin machine, the same Ricoh number for a Lanier Machine and yes the same Ricoh number works in a Gestener machine. Over all this is smart; one cartridge with it's own part number instead of four part numbers for one product that fits four types of machines.  But Ricoh is making this a deep dark secret. They don't want to share the information as to what the old part number was, to what the new part number is going to be.  For the average reseller, Good luck selling Ricoh supplies.  Ricoh only wants to sell Ricoh.  Yeah right, like thats going to happen. (And yes, we've have asked, and they can't get the information, what?)

Confusing? Probably for that customer who doesn't know what's going on and wants one of the old part numbers. Hopefully through their searching they'll realize that the new Tri-Brands Ricoh part number will work, even if it's for a Lanier machine. Head spinning ! Even more reason for a cross reference for Ricoh, Gestetner, Lanier and Savin.

Make thing even more difficult, none of these part numbers are searchable?  Oh what are the wholesalers going to do? Sales reps at the wholesalers, their heads are going to spin.  Pretty soon we will all puke from getting dizzy with Ricoh's part numbers.
